AI governance, organization design strategy, and innovation facilitation for organizations that measure success by mission, not margins.

- Nonprofits and foundations adopting AI tools that need policy and guardrails before they scale, or to decide if they’ll even adopt these tools
- Public-interest teams adapting to rapid change and navigating new technology mandates
- Mission-led organizations who want decisions and impactful action, not just a slide deck
We don’t have an AI policy yet, is that a problem?
No, that’s most of my clients’ starting point.
We don’t WANT to use AI and think it is the problem!
Heard! No AI-pilling or forced use from me. Without a policy around it though, staff use cases can fall through gaps, and vendors can get really stuck in how to deliver to you.
Can you join as fractional support inside an existing team?
Yes. That’s a model I’ve used with many clients, including The Nature Conservancy, The Lawyers’ Committee, and with federal agencies.
How I can help
AI Governance & Policy
What it is: Staff- and Board-ready AI governance: acceptable-use policy, risk assessment process, staff training, and clear decision rights for adopting AI tools responsibly.
What you get: A governance structure fit to your organization’s actual size and risk tolerance (not a generic template), input and buy-in, a rollout and training plan, and ongoing advisory as tools and regulation shift.
Good fit if:
- leadership keeps getting asked “what’s our AI policy?” and doesn’t have a confident answer yet
- the values of the organization say “No AI!” but the culture may not be keeping pace and confusion is mounting
Innovation Facilitation
What it is: Design and facilitation of outcome-led workshops for internal change initiatives or service or product development
What you get: A tailored series of working sessions in which the team goes through a proven adaptive experimentation process and identifies the part of the problem to solve, tests solutions, and shapes the delivery approach
Good fit if:
- There’s a business need to change a service, product, or internal way of working but disagreement on direction or impact have stalled getting started
- There’s a dedicated team who can put some FTE to the project over 1-3 months
Team & Leader Coaching
What it is: 1:1 or small-group coaching for leaders and teams navigating change, like a new AI initiative, organization direction change, a reorg, a leadership transition, et al.
What you get: A steady and experienced thinking partner, practical frameworks for deciding under uncertainty, and space to work through the human side of change.
Good fit if: the hard part of your next initiative is people, not process.
Organizational Governance
What it is: Design of the decision structures that get distributed across people and teams, with inclusion from all involved.
What you get: Facilitated sessions (remote or in-person), service blueprints or journey maps where useful, documented structure for decisions, and a format your org can run with.
Good fit if:
- Your team has a horizontal, democratic, or self-organizing structure
- Passionate people disagree productively and need a way to get from many priorities to workable, adaptive plans.
- It’s been more than two years and you’ve hired or had a program or business change since the last governance document was created.
How I work
Research-informed, plain-spoken, inclusive and equitable. I move at the pace a small, values-driven team actually needs, and I’m equally comfortable working solo or alongside your internal staff.
